Material Overview

Premium polyester-based print media designed for applications where graphics need to be installed, removed, and reused with ease. Unlike traditional vinyl, this fabric construction resists stretching during installation, applies smoothly, and can often be repositioned multiple times without damaging the material or significantly reducing adhesive performance.

Its unique repositionable adhesive makes it especially popular for temporary wall graphics, promotional displays, seasonal signage, and reusable graphics that are frequently installed and removed. Because the material is fabric-based rather than magnetic, it also serves as an excellent alternative for aluminum, fiberglass, composite, and other non-ferrous vehicle surfaces where conventional magnets simply won’t work.

The material features an impressive 99% block-out layer, allowing it to effectively hide underlying colors, graphics, or signage. This makes it ideal for updating displays, covering existing graphics, or producing seamless overlapping wall murals without unwanted show-through.

The non-glare finish provides a clean, professional appearance that’s less reflective than gloss while maintaining excellent color reproduction. Pair it with a protective laminate when additional durability is required, although many indoor applications perform exceptionally well without one.

Helpful Info

Helpful tips, recommendations, and best practices to get the most from this material before, during, and after installation.
  • Store reusable graphics on their original release liner whenever possible to maximize adhesive life.
  • Keep the adhesive free from dust, dirt, and debris for the best reusability.
  • The 99% block-out construction is ideal for covering existing graphics without visible show-through.
  • This material is an excellent replacement for vehicle magnets on aluminum, fiberglass, ABS plastic, and composite body panels.
  • While highly repositionable, the number of successful reuses depends on surface condition, cleanliness, installation method, and storage between uses.
  • Not recommended for surfaces with very high surface energy, such as glass, metal, marble, or varnished wood, where the adhesive system is not optimized. The number of removals and reapplications will be reduced.
  • Environmentally safe and biodegradable over time; no PVC and nontoxic.

FAQ

Answers to questions about this material, compatibility, durability, installation, and applications

With proper handling and storage, Reusable Fabric Media can be applied, removed, and reused many times while maintaining excellent adhesion. The exact number of successful reuses depends on the application, installation method, and—most importantly—how well the adhesive surface is kept clean. For reusable vehicle graphics, many customers achieve 100 uses or more with proper care.

To maximize the life of your reusable graphics:

  • Always apply to a clean surface. Dirt, dust, oils, and debris can transfer to the adhesive and reduce its performance over time.
  • Handle the adhesive carefully. Avoid touching the adhesive with dirty or oily hands whenever possible.
  • Store the graphic properly. When not in use, place it on its original release liner or another clean, smooth, non-porous surface. Keep it in a clean, dry environment away from dust and debris.
  • Remove slowly and evenly. Large graphics can stretch if pulled too quickly or removed without supporting the material, especially on high-energy surfaces such as automotive paint or glass.
  • Apply without wrinkles or lifted edges. A smooth installation helps prevent dirt, moisture, and air from working underneath the material during use.
  • Consider rounded corners. Rounded corners are less likely to lift during repeated installations than sharp corners.

One of the most important things to remember is that this is an adhesive-backed material—not a static cling. Once dirt, lint, hair, or other contaminants become embedded in the adhesive, they cannot be washed away to fully restore its original performance. Keeping the adhesive clean from the very first installation is the best way to maximize its lifespan and reusability.

Yes. This material is one of our favorite alternatives to traditional vehicle magnets because it adheres to aluminum, fiberglass, and composite vehicle panels where magnets simply don’t work. It also eliminates concerns about magnets sliding, blowing off, or scratching painted surfaces. It is important to keep the adhesive side clean. Once contaminated, it will reduce its reusable adhesive. The adhesive side cannot be washed or cleaned after contamination.

Yes. Its 99% block-out construction is specifically designed to hide underlying colors, printed graphics, and signage, making it ideal for Reusable HOA Cover-Ups, temporary updates, and overlapping mural panels.

Yes. It can be used for many outdoor applications, especially short- to medium-term promotions and vehicle graphics. For long-term permanent outdoor installations, one of our Premium Series vinyl materials is generally the better choice.

Yes, many customers have successfully used this material as a reusable canvas for temporary artwork, decorations, and creative projects. While we haven’t formally tested all types of markers, paints, or other media, the material’s textured fabric surface can accept certain art supplies. Because results vary depending on the product used, we recommend testing on a small sample first to ensure it meets your expectations and can be cleaned or reused as intended.
