Table of Contents

What's Changed?

Instead of grouping materials primarily by terms like Removable, Permanent, or AIR, materials are now organized into Series based on their performance level, durability, and intended application.

Examples include:

  • Economy Series
  • Standard Series
  • Premium Series
  • Reusable Series
  • Adhesive-Free Series
  • Transfer Vinyl Series
  • Floor Vinyl Series

Within each series, materials are now identified using clearer terms such as:

  • Low-Tack
  • Low-Tack with Air Release
  • High-Tack
  • High-Tack with Air Release
  • MAX Strength
  • High-Performance Calendered
  • Cast Wrap Vinyl
  • Reusable Adhesive
  • Static Cling
  • Magnet

Why We Made This Change

Terms like Removable and Permanent can be misleading because performance depends heavily on the surface, environment, and length of installation.

For example:

  • A removable vinyl left in place for years may become difficult to remove.
  • The same adhesive may behave differently on glass, painted walls, metal, plastic, or textured surfaces.
  • A removable only vinyl can sometimes be removed and reused or repositioned a few times, based on surface type and installation quality.
  • Permanent vinyl used on certain surfaces for short periods can technically be removable.
  • A premium series vinyl used for long-term installations can technically be removed with heat and other tools.

The new naming system focuses on the actual adhesive characteristics and performance level rather than making assumptions about every installation environment.
