VOCs

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are chemicals found in many paints and coatings that evaporate into the air as the paint dries. These compounds can mess with how vinyl stickers stick! Low or zero VOCs may prevent vinyl adhesive from sticking to a wall surface. High levels of VOCs can also create a slick or oily surface that prevents the sticker adhesive from bonding effectively.

For optimal results, consider cleaning the wall twice with a mixture of 70 percent isopropyl alcohol and 30 percent water, this can significantly enhance adhesion for most wall films applied to painted surfaces.

So, before slapping on vinyl stickers, it’s recommended to test with our samples. Apply to the surface and let sit for 15 minutes then lift a corner and gently pull down on the film at a low angle to feel the adhesion level.
