Reusable Sticker Longevity
With proper care, our reusable stickers for aluminum body vehicles typically last around 85-100 uses. Occasionally, they may last longer if maintained and stored well. To ensure their longevity, always clean the vehicle surface before each application. Use soap and water, mild cleaning solutions, or a simple wipe with a damp cloth if other options are unavailable. This includes cleaning the surface where the stickers are stored.
Here are our recommended installation and care tips for these reusable stickers.
Factors Affecting Sticker Longevity Several factors might reduce the sticker’s lifespan:
- Ensure a clean application surface before each use to combat dirt, which is challenging to clean.
- Store the stickers on a clean surface with minimal wrinkles when not in use.
- For very large prints (over 36″ x 36″), stretching might occur upon removal, particularly on high-energy surfaces like auto bodies and windows.
- During removal, ensure the surface is dry to prevent moisture from compromising the adhesive side.
Preserving the Adhesive Side To maintain the adhesive side’s effectiveness:
- Always apply or store the stickers on a clean smooth flat surface.
- Consider selecting rounded corners instead of hard corners to prevent lifting.
- Upon installation, ensure no wrinkles or gaps that could allow dirt or wind to affect the material. Check that the corners are properly adhered.
- Avoid exposing the adhesive to external elements by bridging from one surface to another.
- Handle the stickers with clean hands to prevent dirt and oil from affecting the adhesive.
Note: Once dirt sticks to the adhesive side, its adherence will worsen with each use. This material is adhesive, not cling, and cannot be washed after becoming dirty.
Storing Reusable Prints
You can store unused reusable prints by reattaching them to the liner paper they arrived on and rolling them up for storage. While they may not stick perfectly to the paper, it’s adequate for storage. Please make sure to store them in a dry and clean area.
Another way to store your reusable sticker is by temporarily placing it on a flat, clean, and dry surface. Choose a smooth, non-porous surface with a hard coating, like a painted wall or laminated board. Avoid surfaces that attract dust, hair, or wood fibers, as these can stick to the adhesive and reduce its effectiveness.
